Euston Station of The Girl on The Train (London Europe Day 2.2) | April 2018

December 14, 2018

Euston Station played a predominant role in the development of The Girl on the Train — one of my favourite books that rekindled my love for reading in 2017. Naturally, I wanted to see the station with my own eyes to better understand the thought process of the main protagonist, Rachel Watson, as she went through the busy station every morning.

I tried my best to hide my enthusiasm. I mean who the heck gets so excited over a train station, right? But I was squaling internally! I was SO. DAMN. THRILLED. I probably looked like any other tourist — legend says that tourists have to take photos against a subway station or you haven't been to London...

Hey, Euston Station

Seeing Euston Station plastered on London subway was enough for me — I didn't want my nerdy guilty pleasure to take up too much time in our itinerary but... We accidentally wandered into Euston Railway Station, which was more specifically where Rachel Watson would've travelled through every morning, while searching for the exit.

London, you were so good to me :')

Standing at Euston Station... It was indescribable. It was like a scene out of a book — out of THE book I was obssessed with for a while. After witnessing how chaotic Euston Station was during morning peak hour, I understood the storyline a little more and could better visualise Paula Hawkins' novel.

Managed to get one more shot with the London Euston subway sign before heading to our next stop. Look at how elated I was!

Special thanks to my travel buddy Cheryl for indulging in my obsession despite not reading The Girl on The Train hahahaha.
