ShoeTree Project Shoe Expander and Stretcher Review

September 04, 2018

Isn't it a pain when your sneakers don't fit you perfectly? Over the years, I've bought many sneakers that were one or half a size smaller simply because they were sold at a discounted price. Regrettably, I almost never wear those shoes because they hurt too much. Recently, ShoeTree Project sent me their Superba Hardwood Shoe Expander & Stretcher to solve my problem of undersized shoes.

If you don't know yet, ShoeTree Project is a young startup that merges technology with shoecare. Superba Hardwood Shoe Expander & Stretcher is the only shoe expander and stretcher in the market that's made with Superba hardwood instead of the cheaper Pinewood.

Superba is a hardwood that does not leave micro splinters — I can attest to that because I actually accidentally rubbed my hand against the rougher sides of the wood and escaped unscathed. Superba hardwood is also an unfinished, so it can absorb moisture to prevent your shoe's lining from rotting and destroying the shoe's interior.

ShoeTree Project also provides knobs of different length and width that can be attached in any of the 12 holes to ensure that your shoes fit your legs perfectly. This is especially useful if you only want to expand your shoes at a certain spot while retaining its shape. Every purchase of Superba Hardwood Shoe Expander & Stretcher comes with a detailed set of instructions to teach you how to expand your shoes length and width wise.

My mom, a hawker and stall assistant who is on her feet for hours everyday, snatched the parcel out of my hands the day it arrived — she has been complaining about her sore feet and her ill-fitting shoes for the longest time. After leaving ShoeTree Project's shoe expander in for around eight hours, she commented that her shoes fit her better and she gradually stopped feeling the ache on her toes.

This is apparently common as ShoeTree Project also shared with me that one of their clients had shoes so tight, they changed his gait, which led to lower back pain, and he did not even realise it was due to his tight shoes!

Personally, I'm prone to getting blisters as I tend to buy shoes too small for me. My feet are around 34.5 to 35, which makes it a pain (no pun intended) buying shoes. With Superba Hardwood Shoe Expander & Stretcher, I managed to get my shoes fitting perfectly and I'm finally ready to bring it with me for my next trip.

Superba Hardwood Shoe Expander & Stretcher is definitely a useful product I see myself repurchasing in the future, especially since it can be used by everyone in the household.
