Urban Bakery Work Croissants (Hong Kong Day 3.1)
March 05, 2018Good morning, Hong Kong! The temperature dipped that day, at 13°C. Hong Kong's winter in 2016 was already colder than usual, and that day was the coldest day of the month! Being misinformed travellers — plus the fact that Hong Kong was the first cold country I travelled to — Chelsea and I only donned on a thin parka and began our itinerary.
Bless my soul, I will never this at 13°C today |
We made our way to Landmark Atrium from Le Prabelle Hotel in hunt of Urban Bakery Works, famous for their salted egg yolk croissant. The trend was brought to Singapore by various bakeries long died sigh I'm a terrible blogger.
Can't believe I was vain enough to remove my already-thin parka for a photo |
We got a salted egg yolk croissant and polo croissant (like, a buo luo bao imitation of a croissant) to share.

You can watch how we failed to make the salted egg yolk flow out from the croissant. To be fair, it was entirely my fault for cutting the corner of the croissant, instead of the centre -__-
Urban Bakery Work's croissants are 10/10! I love croissant and theirs was baked to perfection — perfect for warming up your mouth in the cold weather. Damn, I want to travel to Hong Kong again.
Outside Landmark Atrium, where I was obviously struggling to keep my sanity against the cold |
We left Landmark Atrium after finishing our meal because there wasn't much to do there, other than luxury shopping which we couldn't afford.
