People always ask me why do I like returning to my secondary school that much when I couldn't wait to get out just a year ago. My answer is this: I feel indebted to the school. I am where I am today because of the school; because of the great and patient teachers who never stopped giving their best, because of the amazing friends I made there who were willing to sacrifice their sleep during the holidays just to make sure I have a portfolio ready for the interview to my dream course.

If not for my Maths teacher, I wouldn't bother to work hard, try to prove her wrong, and pass Maths in the end. If not for my Chinese teacher, I would have never gotten a B3. My English teachers were the ones who cultivated my love for writing; without them, I probably would have abandoned my blog long ago. My Science teachers who never gave up on me even though my Science was beyond horrendous. There were just too many teachers that made a positive impact in my life and I am eternally grateful.

From a young age, my mom has always taught me to 饮水思源 (literally: when you're drinking water, remember the source) and that is why I never hesitate to give study tips whenever somebody asks me (even though I may not be very good at it) or encourage my juniors. To me, it's like giving back to the school what the school gave me. And I want to keep doing that.

On a side note, here's a vlog I made after I received numerous questions about did I mug for O Level and how to score well for Maths/English. It's my first time doing a vlog and it turned out to be too long-winded but oh well, I tried my best. I might do another vlog if the response is good and if I have the time. Anyway, I won't say that I'm the best person to answer these question but I am really honoured that you guys are asking me these questions :') Love y'all!

I've been taking an interest in the general elections happening in Malaysia now that I'm old enough to understand what's going on. I feel like the current Malaysian government is getting more desperate as the days passed by. I've heard of corruptions happening in the government but I never thought that it would be this bad.

I will not go into details about how rigged this election is but one thing for sure: watching the general elections in Malaysia made me glad that I'm living in Singapore. Sure, the cost of living is high (and still rising), and it is stressful living here as a student, especially when education means almost everything, but things are still good and our government isn't corrupted.

We have many foreign talent, but our safety isn't compromised. The system here we have is fair and just, regardless of race, language or religion, just like how our national pledge states.

We are one of the few countries that achieved almost universal education at the primary and the secondary levels; our government ensures we have a common core knowledge by introducing the compulsory education system.

The guys are forced to serve NS but if they don't protect our country, who will?

We complain about having our pay deducted because of CPF but it is because of the CPF that we are forced to save up for rainy days.

Yes, there are still many things I don't like about the Singapore system (like the influx of foreign talent) but the good outweigh the bad. You know, I think that sometimes we take too many things for granted.

I've been receiving many nonsensical questions on my ask.fm recently and one in particular pissed me off. It all started with one questions asking me whether I mind if my boyfriend masturbates (if I have one), which I answered that I don't mind. My secondary school classmates are pretty open-minded and we've talked about this before. I've come to accept that 99% of the guys have masturbated before some time in their lives and the other 1% are... liars :X. BUT ANYWAY, that's not the main point.



This question here is the main point. After how you insulted my modesty, I think I have every right to be angry. (I wasn't angry at first but after reading how righteous he thinks he is...) This prick acts like he is not at the wrong and that I'm over-reacting (I presume that it's a he). I AM open-minded and I talk to my friends about sensitive topics (sex, masturbation, bras, etc) BUT not when it's on the Internet where everyone can see it.

You don't go around asking girls their bra size in real life, so what makes you think it's okay to do it on the Internet? Just because you're anonymous? Guys, treat girls the way you want your mother or future daughter(s) to be treated. Do you want them to be talking to sleazy guys like these?




According to their profiles, they are at least five years older than me (assuming that the first guy has completed his NS and signed on with SAF), and in the eyes of the law, I'm still a minor. If you don't want your future daughter(s) to be talking to guys like these, DON'T BE THIS KIND OF GUYS!

And girls answering these questions, think about it. How would your mother feel if she stumbled upon your ask.fm and read you answering about your bra size or brand? You don't even know who's behind the screen asking these questions. It may be a pedophile for all you know. I'm all in for being 100% honest when it comes to answering questions but there has got to be a limit! Call me old-fashion but I believe that girls should be treated with respect, but if you don't respect your own privacy first then who are you to ask respect from people?
