Every city has their own observatory deck, and Skypoint Observation Deck is Gold Coast's highest attraction! Standing 230 meters above the ground, we were treated to a grand 360° view of Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast's famed seaside resort.



There's something absolutely surreal about looking down at these buildings. Suddenly all your troubles disappear because you realise just how tiny they are, and how you're just a speck of existence in this massive universe. Your existence is not as enormous as you initially imagined yet you still can make a difference.

I've honestly never been a fan of observation decks because they felt gimmicky to me but it was amazing looking at the shorelines of Surfers Paradise from Skypoint Observation Deck. Also, there were many baskers around Skypoint, allowing us to fully soak in the atmosphere.

If there's one thing I MUST do every time I travel, it's outlet shopping. Considering how almost every brand is way overpriced in Singapore, we already get a kick out of shopping overseas, what more outlet shopping. Habour Town is Gold Coast's most famous outlet shopping centre that's popular with locals and tourists alike so that's where I headed.


As usual, outlet malls are always located a little out of the way. Sorry I can't provide you with public transport details because I was lost half the time T_T


Didn't take much photos because I was soooo busy shopping but you can see a snippet of my day from my vlog :) If you expect Habour Town to have jaw-dropping prices from brands like Kate Spade, Victoria's Secret and the likes — don't bother, because after all, this is Australia and those brands are obviously way cheaper in the States.

I did most of my shopping at Australian brands like Cotton On, Supré (which I just found out is owned by Cotton On), and beauty stores that stock up items from different brands (similar to Sasa that we have in Singapore). I scored clothes for as low as AUD $3, and the exchange rate between SGD and AUD then was almost 1:1!

Got my manicure and pedicure done at Nailz Haus™ just in time before my annual family travel to Malaysia! Previously located mostly in west and east of Singapore, Nailz Haus™ recently opened their first central outlet, located at AMK Hub, #B1-24 (opposite Swensens).

The hospitable staff at Nailz Haus™’s AMK Hub outlet made the atmosphere cosy and comfortable — definitely an ideal place to wind down after a long day at work and that’s exactly what I did. I arrived at approximately 7.30pm after work, and the efficient staff (Lena was my manicurist and Menndy was my pedicurist) got down to work straightaway.

Tons of colours to choose from at Nailz Haus™, AMK Hub

Requested for a marble design because I’ve always wanted to try marble nails, but I opted to spice the usual black and white marble manicure up a little with sky blue base since I’m attending a wedding in Malaysia + Christmas is coming.

I loved how the staff at Nailz Haus™ were affable and chatty yet not intrusive of my privacy, and they also let me enjoy my much-needed silence at the end of my day when needed.

I also noted that each manicurist has their own sets of tools at Nailz Haus™, labelled with their names. Although a tiny measure, it goes to show that Nailz Haus™ is actually interested in providing the best personalised service to their customers, which is much appreciated.

The thing about marble nails is that marble is an 'free and easy' design which requires a good eye and lots of patience to perfect. The staff at Nailz Haus™ really impressed me with their professionalism.

I ended my manicure and pedicure session at 10pm, which is their closing time and headed for a girls’ night out with my girlfriends aka ooh-ing and ahh-ing at my new nails. Already thinking of a new design to challenge my manicurists, and absolutely can’t wait for the next time I’m back at Nailz Haus™!
