I've grown to realised that this is probably the scariest word ever. The moment you expect something, you are slapped with the risk of being disappointed.

In four years of my secondary school life, I've seen the term "best friend" thrown to me twice, and as quickly as it formed, it simply got ripped away around the same time for all four years.

I lost too much for me to want to try again a third time. But then again, it just pushes me to wonder, was it because of the initial expectation of a close friendship, or the failure of me to keep it that led to the downfall of it all?
