Althea recently sent me the first brand product they launched — Althea Petal Velvet Powder, a translucent powder made of natural ingredients from Korea.


When I was travelling in Japan's winter, my make up lasted the entire day but with Singapore's humidity, sometimes my make up melts within a few hours of stepping out. Althea Petal Velvet Powder fits my list perfectly, living up to its promises of mattifying my skin and setting my make up. The first thing I did when I received the product was to sniff it. Expectedly, there's no distinct smell because it's made of natural ingredients. Did I mention that Althea Petal Velvet Powder is cruelty free too? Yay!

What I love about translucent powder is that they fit every skin tone and you don't worry about getting them in the wrong shade. It's translucent after all. I found Althea Petal Velvet Powder easy to blend even after applying my BB cream or foundation. On days when I feel like I need more sebum control, I apply Althea Petal Velvet Powder straight after my moisturiser to set my make up base.


Althea Petal Velvet Powder's thin container also makes it convenient to bring around and it now holds a permenent spot in my travel make up bag.
