Hong Kong Disneyland Grizzly Gulch & Mystic Point (HK Day 2.4)

January 30, 2018

Welcome to Grizzly Gulch, Hong Kong Disneyland

Grizzly Gulch had a bit of a Wild, Wild West vibe.

Can I just declare Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars as my favourite ride in Hong Kong Disneyland? It's considered a thrill ride with relatively big drops (compared to the other rides in the theme park) and it even featured a backward drop.

We liked the ride so much we took it twice despite running out of time in Hong Kong Disneyland (because we stopped everywhere to take photos what the heck hahaha #vaingirlsproblem)

"Pushing carts? I found a job!"

I was still job hunting back then and fretting over my chances of being unemployed and relying on my mom forever. Okay, I might have exaggerated a little but the economy wasn't doing great when I graduated and I was terrified of not finding a job. But my worries were completely unfounded because I landed a good job that I loved the month after :') Funny how life works out when you stop worrying so much about things that you can't change. Definitely grateful.

"Ready? 3 2 1 smile!"
And we both gave our best poker face hahahaha.

See my point about different district having vastly different vibes? Although Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point share the same colour theme, they look and feel different.

We asked for the first row seats (I love how accomodating Disneyland is — they truly want you to have the best experience) and I decided to film the ride for memory's sake. The full experience was, of course, a lot more magical but looking back at the video reminds me of all the happy, mushy feelings I felt at Disneyland. I can't wait to go back.
